Rachel has been a family lawyer since 1993. She is a partner in her firm and a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel. She is also an accredited specialist with Resolution in family and children matters and a trained Collaborative Lawyer.

She believes that the Collaborative process can provide a more constructive way of resolving issues arising out of family breakdown, since it allows the parties to deal directly with a wider variety of matters than is possible within the Court based process, including most importantly those concerning the children. Reaching a negotiated settlement can also preserve the parties’ own relationship beyond the ending of the marriage.
